Tirupati and Tirumala are not only places of religious importance, but they are also highly yogic places. The stalwarts of Indian Sanatana Dharma such as Adi Shankara, Ramanuja, Madhwacharya, and saints like Thyagaraja, Muthuswamy Dikshitar, and Shyama Sastry, as well as Bhakta Shiromanis like Tallapaka Annamayya and Tarigonda Vengamamba, worshipped Lord Venkateswara and showed people the importance of worship and dhyana. At Tirumala, Annaprasadam and the Dhyana Mandiram are named after Mathrusi Tarigonda Vengamamba.
In 1994, Brahmarshi Patriji, who had resigned from his job at Rashtriya Chemicals and Fertilizers in 1992 to spread the importance of meditation, came to Tirupati and met Maha Mahopadhyaya Sri Nookala Satyanarayana, the then Principal of S.V. Music College, TTD, and another Maha Mahopadhyaya, Dr. Samudrala Lakshmanaya, the then Secretary of Hindu Dharma Prachara Parishad, TTD, in connection with meditation.
In the same year, Shri Kanchi Raghuram, Bhimas Raghu, P. Venkata Rami Reddy (Retd. FRO), D. Kesava Raju, R. Kuppaswamy, K. Basavaiah, and some others met Brahmarshi Patriji and learned the importance of meditation. This led to the establishment of the Tirupati Spiritual Society in 1994. Since then, for the last 32 years, meditation has been continuously taught free of cost to many people for a happy and peaceful life. The Tirupati Spiritual Society is grateful to TTD for its support in our meditation activities.

The Tirupati Spiritual Society is fortunate and privileged to have organized the highly challenging Kailasa Manasa Sarovara Yatra fifteen times for meditators, with the blessings of Guruji Patriji and the anugraham of Lord Maha Shiva and Sri Venkateswara Swamy Varu. Guruji Patriji participated in the Kailasa Manasa Sarovara Yatra three times—in 2001, 2002, and 2007—and Madam Swarnamala Patriji participated in 2002.
In 2007, the Shashti Poorthi of Guruji Patriji was organized by the Tirupati Spiritual Society as a three-day event in Tirupati on November 11, 12, and 13, 2007.
The Tirupati Spiritual Society is also fortunate to have the support of Pyramid Masters from Bangalore, Hyderabad, PPAT (Proddatur, Pulivendula, Anantapur, and Tadipatri).

Guruji Patriji, after completing the spiritual mission of his life, vacated his body on 24-07-2022 at Hyderabad. With this, the continuous physical journey of Dhyanarshi Kanchi Raghuram, President of the Tirupati Spiritual Society, alongside Guruji for 28 long years came to an end.
In the year 2023, the Tirupati Spiritual Society organized its 30th anniversary celebrations at Mahati Auditorium on July 1 and 2. On this occasion, the members took a pledge to spread the importance of meditation to all people for a happy and peaceful life.
In the same year, the Tirupati Spiritual Society launched the “Tirupati Sahasra Gruha Dhyana Parichaya Project”, with the objective of conducting meditation classes in one thousand houses within Tirupati town alone. The project was a grand success.
In 2024, with the cooperation and support of Masters from Bangalore and PPAT (Proddatur, Pulivendula, Anantapur, and Tadipatri), the Society initiated the “Astadasa Ashtottara Sata Gruha Dhyana Project”, dedicated to the 18 Dhyana Shakti Peethams. Each Shakti Peetham organized meditation programs in 108 houses. This project was also a great success.
During the Astadasa Ashtottara Project Vijayotsavalu, held on October 11, 2025, at Tirupati, the members resolved to organize the “Sapta Vimsati Sapthaha and Astadasa Mandala Dhyana Rusheeswara Project.” This project was inaugurated at Gogarbham, Tirumala, on 10-01-2026—the sacred place where Maharshi Sadguru Malayala Swamy, the founder of Yerpedu Sri Vyasashramam, performed penance and attained self-realization.
In the year 2026, through the Rusheeswara Project, we aim to introduce the importance of meditation to a larger section of society.
The Inauguration of the Sapthavimsathi and Astadasa Mandala Dhyana Rusheeswara Project – 2025 was held at Maharshi Sadhguru Sri Malayala Swami Taposiddhi, Gogarbham, near Papanashanam Dam, Tirumala, on January 10, 2026.
The event was inaugurated by Brahmarshi Kanchi Raghuram Garu (President, Tirupati Spiritual Society) and DSP Bali Reddy Garu. It was attended by Pyramid Masters and meditators from Tirupati, Bangalore, PPAT (Proddatur, Pulivendula, Anantapur and Tadipatri).
